Kill Team, built as Kill Team
Kill Team is its own game in Hobby Armory, not a 40K list with a smaller points limit. Pick a team and the operatives it has to take are added for you. Choose the rest, and the leader and team composition are checked while you build.

Play it in the Battle Hub
Start a game with your roster and pick the killzone and operation. The game screen follows turning points, command points and victory points, and your opponent can join from their own phone with a QR code. The result goes into your match record, by team and by rival.
The odds of a shot, worked out exactly
Kill Team has no wound roll and no save per attack. The defender spends successes to block, which changes the maths completely. The simulator has its own Kill Team engine for that: pick a shooter or a fighter and a target and it enumerates every roll, so the answer is exact.
- Chance to incapacitate, and damage against the target's wounds
- Cover, Piercing and the defender blocking to take the least damage
- Fights solved strike by strike, including the target striking back
Your kill team, painted
Kill Team boxes are in the catalog with their contents, so adding a box puts every operative in your collection. Each one is tracked from bought to finished, and the roster shows how much of the team is painted. Recipes for the team's scheme live in the recipe book, linked to the operatives they painted.

Is there a free Kill Team app?
Yes. Hobby Armory covers Kill Team 3rd edition with a roster builder, game tracking in the Battle Hub and a combat calculator. It is free during the beta on Android and iOS.
How does the Kill Team roster builder work?
Pick a team and the operatives it must take are added for you. Choose the rest, and the team composition and leader are checked as you go. Team rules, ploys and equipment stay with the roster.
Does it know which operatives I own?
Yes. Kill Team boxes are in the catalog with their contents, so operatives are matched against your collection and the roster shows how many you own and how many are painted.
Can I track Kill Team games?
Yes. Kill Team games run in the Battle Hub with the killzone maps and operations from the current approved ops, turning points, command points and victory points, and your opponent can join from their own phone.
Does the calculator understand Kill Team rules?
Yes. Kill Team has its own engine: one operative's shoot or fight action against another, with defence dice blocking successes, cover and Piercing, and fights solved strike by strike for the best choices on both sides. Weapon rules such as Lethal, Rending, Punishing, Severe, Brutal and Shock are read from the profiles.
Will I hear about Kill Team balance changes?
Yes. If you follow Kill Team in the Battle Hub Briefing, changes to operatives, weapons, ploys, team rules and equipment are listed as they land.
