Because the range overlaps with Age of Sigmar, expect a few sets to be missing at first, it is actively being worked on. Army Builder support for The Old World is still being built
- AppBuild your own game system. Give it a name, colours and a symbol, and track whatever you collect, whether the app knows that game or not
- CollectionFilter by miniature instead of by set. Twelve Intercessors spread across three boxes now read as twelve of one thing, and you can filter and sort them by progress, by how many you own and more

Put a miniature you are working on onto the bench, say whether you are assembling, priming, painting, basing or sealing it, and the home screen shows everything that is in flight and how far along it is. It is tracked per model, so a squad with three painted and seven primed reads as exactly that
- AppPinning reaches down to a single miniature. In the Workbench you pin the model you are working on, in the Collection screen you see the set it lives in, and pinned sets now sync across your devices
- Army BuilderThe rules engine was overhauled, and transports and enhancements in particular are handled far better. Points are up to date and are now refreshed daily
- AppAge of Sigmar regiments are much easier to fill. Add a unit to a regiment right as you add it to the army, or by long pressing a unit already in the list

- AppSpearhead and Kill Team are now supported in the army builder. Spearhead forces come fixed, and Kill Team adds its mandatory operatives for you
- AppLink specific miniatures from a set to a roster, so you can pick exactly which models are in it and update their paint status in more detail
- AppRoster import is overhauled: it handles 40k 11th edition lists now and is more reliable throughout. Exporting rosters as .ros files is still to come
- AppWeapon options on multi-model units are distributed per model with +/- controls, so the default weapon can be swapped out instead of being locked in
- AppOptional weapon groups have a Keep default choice, so a group that does not require a replacement no longer forces one
- AppSpecial weapon and heavy weapon slots now resolve to the actual weapons you can pick
- AppSister Superior, Retributor Superior and their equivalents are part of their unit again, so full 10-model squads can be assigned
- AppUnique flags were being applied to every unit. That is corrected across all factions, so only genuinely unique units are capped at one
- AppEnhancements are listed with their points cost and counted in the list total
- AppArmy lists are called Rosters across the app now, and the cards in the armies tab were redesigned to be easier to read. Alliance and faction grouping only appears above seven rosters, so smaller collections stay clean
- AppSets are customizable. Edit any set, change how many minis you own and add custom ones. An edited set stops picking up later catalog fixes, and a button resets it to the standard version so it updates automatically again
- AppAdd photos for units inside a set. Use a photo just for that unit here, for that unit in every set, or share it with everyone. Shared photos get their background removed and optimised, so please do share them. Just fit the whole mini in frame against a background that is as neutral as you can manage
- AppThe reworked achievement system gets its proper announcement. It went live with the previous build but never made it into the notes
- FixesContent flashing on the way back from achievements to the home screen, army detail screen issues, changing your username, the keyboard staying open after Google sign in, and several crashes

What is Hobby Armory?
Hobby Armory is a Warhammer app built around your collection. Every set from Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, The Old World, Warcry and Warhammer Underworlds is already in it, so you add a box by searching for it. From there the app tracks every model through painting, keeps your paint recipes and paints, builds army lists that know what you own, and runs your games in the Battle Hub.
Is Hobby Armory free?
Yes. Hobby Armory is in beta and completely free while the beta runs, with every feature included. There are no premium features today.
Which game systems does it support?
Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, The Old World, Warcry and Warhammer Underworlds are live, each with its own catalog, factions and look. Horus Heresy is coming soon. Anything else you collect can be tracked by adding your own game system with its own name, colours and symbol.
How does the sets database work?
Over 3,000 sets are in the catalog with their contents, from single characters to Combat Patrols, battleforces and starter sets. You search, tap the box and every miniature in it is added. Battleboxes with two armies are split per army, and the catalog is kept up to date as new releases come out.
Can I track each miniature in a box separately?
Yes. Every model has its own step: bought, built, primed, painted or finished. On top of that you can mark models as based, put them on the Workbench, add your own tags, attach photos and enter the date each step happened.
What is the Battle Hub?
The Battle Hub is the part of the app for playing games. The Briefing shows which points and rules changed and which of your lists they touch, Play sets up a match with missions and deployments, Simulate runs a combat simulator, and Record keeps your win rate by army, faction and rival. It covers 40K, Combat Patrol, Kill Team, Age of Sigmar and Spearhead. More about the Battle Hub.
Can my opponent and I track the same game?
Yes. Start a game, show the QR code or send the link, and your opponent joins from their own phone. Both of you see score, command points and wounds change live, a judge can join too, and the result is filed in both players' match records.
How accurate is the combat simulator?
It calculates the exact probabilities instead of rolling random dice a few thousand times, so the same matchup always gives the same answer. It covers 40K 10th and 11th edition, Age of Sigmar and Kill Team, unit against unit or a whole army against another. How the simulator works.
Which army list formats does the army builder support?
Warhammer 40,000 10th and 11th edition, Combat Patrol, Kill Team, Age of Sigmar 4th edition, Spearhead and The Old World. Lists import from .ros and .rosz files and from text exported by the official apps, and share as text, PDF or a link.
Does the army builder know which models I own?
Yes. Every list shows its battle readiness: how many of its units you own, how many models are painted and how many you still need. When you add a unit you can filter to the models in your collection.
Can I keep paint recipes and track my paints?
Yes. Recipes are saved step by step with techniques and photos and pinned to the units they are for. Over 5,900 paints from 13 brands are already loaded, from Citadel and Vallejo to The Army Painter, AK Interactive and Pro Acryl. The Paint Rack tracks the ones you own, and the colour tools convert a colour to another brand, mix three or more paints and pull a palette out of a photo.
Does Hobby Armory track my pile of shame?
Yes. It counts your backlog per model rather than per box, so you see exactly how many miniatures are still unbuilt or unpainted and in which army. Monthly goals and an activity chart show it shrinking. More on the pile of shame tracker.
Which platforms does Hobby Armory run on?
Android through Google Play and iPhone and iPad through TestFlight, both as a free beta. A web version for desktop is coming soon.
Is Hobby Armory made by Games Workshop?
