Everything about playing Warhammer, in one place

The Battle Hub is the part of Hobby Armory for games. Read what changed in the rules, set up a match, score it live with your opponent on their own phone, test matchups in the simulator and keep your record. For 40K, Combat Patrol, Kill Team, Age of Sigmar and Spearhead.

The Briefing: what changed, and what it does to you

Balance updates come out, and every player spends an evening working out what moved. The Briefing does that for you. It lists the points, unit, detachment and rules changes for the games you follow, and for each one it shows which of your saved lists it touches.

  • Points changes re-price your lists unit by unit, with the new total
  • Units moved to Legends or removed are flagged as needing action
  • New seasons, missions and twists announced as they land
  • Your armies with how many of their models are painted

Set up the game the way the pack says

A new game starts from your own list. Add your opponent's list from a link or an import, or play against a side with no list at all. Then step through the setup: primary missions and how each scores, the deployment card with its zones and objectives, twists and secondaries, all from the current mission pack.

Let the app deal them, pick them yourselves or roll. Save the setup as a template for the next game night.

Score as you play

The game screen follows the turn: round, phase, command points and victory points, with the scoring rules for your missions beside the buttons that score them. A chess clock tracks each player's time.

  • Every unit with its models and wounds left
  • Your army rules and stratagems one tap away
  • Faction trackers for the resources your army counts
  • Every change logged, with undo

Two phones, one game

Show the QR code or send the link over WhatsApp or Discord and your opponent joins from their own phone. Both of you update the same game and see every change live. A judge can join too. When the game ends, the result is filed in both players' records.

Your record, by army and by rival

Every game goes into your match record: win rate, wins, losses and draws, average victory points and your current streak. Filter by system, edition and faction, see the armies you win with most, and keep score against the people you play every week.

Before the game: run the numbers

The Battle Hub includes a combat simulator that works out the exact odds of one unit attacking another, or every unit of one list against every target of another. It covers 40K 10th and 11th edition, Age of Sigmar and Kill Team, and it opens straight from a unit in a live game. How the combat simulator works.

It starts with the lists you built

Games are played with the lists from the army builder, which already know which of your models are owned and painted. That is the point of Hobby Armory: the collection, the lists and the games are one thing, so nothing is typed twice.

FAQ

Battle Hub questions

Is there an app to track Warhammer 40K games?

Yes. The Battle Hub in Hobby Armory tracks a game from setup to result: missions and deployment from the current mission pack, rounds and phases, command points, victory points and wounds, then files the result in your match record. It is free during the beta on Android and iOS.

Which games does the Battle Hub support?

Warhammer 40,000 in 10th and 11th edition, Combat Patrol, Kill Team, Age of Sigmar and Spearhead. The Briefing also follows changes for The Old World.

Can my opponent and I use the same game on two phones?

Yes. Show the QR code or send the link, and your opponent joins from their own phone as a player, or a judge joins to watch. Both of you see score, command points and wounds change live, every change goes in a log with undo, and the result lands in both players' records.

Does my opponent need their list in the app?

No. Their list can come in through a share link or an import, and you can also play against a side with no list at all and just keep score.

Where do the missions and deployments come from?

From the current mission packs, such as Chapter Approved for 40K, and they are refreshed when a new season starts. You can let the app deal primaries and deployments, pick them yourselves or roll for one.

What is the Briefing?

The Briefing is the Battle Hub's front page. It lists points, unit, detachment and rules changes for the games you follow, shows which of your lists each change touches and by how much, and how battle ready your armies are.

Can I log a game I already played?

Yes. Past games can be logged after the fact and count towards your win rate, rivals and record by army.
