The Old World collection, finally counted

Over 600 Warhammer: The Old World sets are already in Hobby Armory, right down to the models inside each box. Add a regiment in one search, track every rank and file model from bought to finished, and build your army lists from it.

  • 600+ Old World sets
  • Counted per miniature
  • Army lists with allies

Every Old World box, already in the app

The Old World brought a lot of people back to Warhammer Fantasy, and most of them came back to a shelf untouched since sixth edition. Working out what is on it is the part nobody enjoys, which is why it usually ends in a spreadsheet abandoned by the third army.

Hobby Armory ships with the Old World range already in the database, including the miniatures inside each box. Search for the box, tap it, and it is in your collection with its full contents. No typing out twenty Skeleton Warriors by hand.

If a set you own is missing, add it as a custom set and report it from the app so it gets added properly.

Counted model by model, not box by box

Old World armies are rank and file, which is exactly where per box tracking falls apart. A unit of twenty State Troops is never simply painted or unpainted, and a tracker that only knows boxes writes off the whole regiment because six still need their halberds.

  • Bought, built, primed, painted and finished, per miniature
  • Based and 3D printed markers, kept apart from the paint steps
  • Your own tags and photos on any unit
  • The date each step happened, for an army painted years ago

Old World army lists

Rosters are built in the same army builder as 40K and Age of Sigmar. Pick a composition, Open War, Combined Arms, Grand Melee or Battle March, and the builder applies its limits and slot percentages for you.

  • Characters, mounts, champions, command groups and magic items chosen inside the unit
  • The magic item allowance checked as you pick
  • Allied armies, with how far the two trust each other and the contingent's own limits
  • A battle reference with your army's rules, spells and units

The rest of the hobby comes with it

The same models feed the paint recipe book, so the scheme you worked out for your first regiment is there when you start the second a year later. The paint tracker turns the collection into monthly goals, a streak and a year chart, and the Workbench holds whatever is on the desk tonight.

The Paint Rack knows what is on your shelf and finds the closest match in another brand when a colour is discontinued, which happens a lot to a Fantasy army started two decades ago. It can also pull a palette out of a photo of a model you painted before you kept notes.

And anything the catalog does not cover

If you collect something the app has never heard of, add your own game system for it. Give it a name, colours and a symbol, add your own sets, and it sits beside The Old World with its own page and totals. Older ranges, historicals and specialist games all live there.

FAQ

The Old World tracker questions

Is there a collection tracker app for Warhammer: The Old World?

Yes. Hobby Armory supports The Old World alongside Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Warcry and Underworlds. Over 600 Old World sets are already in the database with the miniatures inside each box, so adding a regiment is a search rather than a form. It is free during the beta on Android and iOS.

Which Old World factions are covered?

The range as Games Workshop sells it, including the Kingdom of Bretonnia, the Empire of Man, Tomb Kings of Khemri, Orc and Goblin Tribes, Dwarfen Mountain Holds, Wood Elf Realms, High Elf Realms, Beastmen Brayherds, Warriors of Chaos, Daemons of Chaos and Skaven, plus the Arcane Journal releases. Each faction has its own art and colours in the app.

Does it track old Warhammer Fantasy Battle models too?

Yes. Anything the catalog does not list can be added as a custom set with your own name, contents and photo. Out of print regiments from earlier editions are tracked that way and count towards your totals like anything else.

Can I build Old World army lists in the app?

Yes. Old World rosters are built in the same army builder as 40K and Age of Sigmar, with points, slot percentages and rule checks. Pick a composition and the builder applies its limits. Characters, mounts, command groups and magic items are chosen inside the unit, allied armies are supported, and a battle reference covers your army's rules, spells and units.

Can I track Old World games in the Battle Hub?

Not yet. The Battle Hub runs games for 40K, Kill Team, Age of Sigmar and Spearhead today. For The Old World, the Briefing already reports changes to army list entries and profiles.

Is The Old World tracker free?

Yes. Every feature is unlocked and free during the beta on Android and iOS.
